Civil Aviation Section

The Ministry is aiming to create the conditions for civil aviation to develop and thrive. Internationally, the Slovak Republic actively participates in EU activities and its structure, and is also involved in the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) and the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC).  Since 2015 the Slovak Republic has been a member within ECAC of the Central European Rotation Group (CERG) in the Coordinating Committee and in the EMTO Task Force. As part of its current agenda, the Ministry is especially developing legislation, regulations, the National Civil Aviation Safety Programme for the Slovak Republic and the National Civil Aviation Security Programme against acts of unlawful interference, and also granting operating licenses to air carriers; airport approvals, security accreditation, authorisations and permits to providers of air navigation services and both preparing and negotiating bilateral aviation agreements.
